The Mushy Middle Of Americas Religious Is Disappearing

Americans are becoming more religious-- and more secular-- at the same time. Megachurch pastor Tim Keller said on ABC's "This Week". He said "what's happening is secularism and devout religion are growing together. What's going away is the mushy middle, people who are just part of the synagogue, the mosque or the church because it's expected." When he was asked how the church could reach out to the people it's losing-- he had 3 words: acts of service. He said there should be a certain humility and graciousness when you talk to everybody;  care for the poor, serve our neighborhoods and serve people-- without using Christian-speak.
