The More Time You Spend In Church The Lower Your Blood Pressure Will Be
12.28.11 |
Church attendance is directly linked to lower blood pressure. And in fact, the more time you spend behind the pew, the lower it's likely to be. Dr. Harold G. Koenig is one of the authors of the study, and says "about two-thirds of the research, now over 60 quantitative studies, based on over 120-thousand people, report that those who are more religiously active have significantly lower blood pressure." One researcher in Norway said about 40-percent of the U.S. population attends church on a weekly basis, while only 4-percent in Norway do. So they didn't expect to get the same statistical results. But they did-- and he was really surprised.
