The Body Of A Buffalo Marine Comes Home

07.15.11 | Sarah Harnisch

Twenty-five year old marine Seargent Trevor Cook's body arrived at Buffalo Niagara International Airport. He died in a training accident in California last week. He survived an eight month deployment to the heart of Afghanistan, but was killed last week in a simple training exercize, right on American soil.

Speaking about his son's time overseas, Cook's father says, "He didn't speak much about it as most marines don't, especially to mom... But we saw some pictures. He showed me where there were bullet holes in the copters and a few on the ground that went down."

Calling hours for Sgt. Cook will be held on Friday from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. at St. Mary's Church in Medina. His funeral will be held at the church on Saturday at 10 a.m.
