Thanksgiving Meals For Pa Flood Victims

11.22.11 | Bob Price

Flood victims in Pittston, Pennsylvania will be able to enjoy Thanksgiving dinner after all.  More than two months after September floods devastated the community, debris is finally being cleared along Exeter Avenue.  This as flood victims continue to recover. Their homes were swamped by up to eight feet of water when the Susquehanna River overflowed its banks on September 9th.

Two churches will host thanksgiving meals on Thursday for the flood victims from West Pittston and surrounding areas. The Christian Missionary Alliance and the First United Methodist church are getting together to help families in need.
