Susan G Komen Has Major Leadership Shakeup

The president of Susan G. Komen for the Cure, the nation's largest breast cancer foundation, is resigning. The departures come in the wake of the continuing fallout from Komen's decision earlier this year to briefly end funding for planned parenthood. C.E.O. Liz Thompson is stepping down, and Komen's founder-- Nancy Brinker, will relinquish her Chief Executive role. At least five other executives have quit. Many Race for the Cure events this summer saw their numbers drop after Komen began again supporting Planned Parenthood.
