(Undated)  --  A new study from the American Osteopathic Association shows that about half of Americans think physical pain is just a part of life.  But Dr. Robert Danoff, a Board-Certified Family Physician in Philadelphia, says aging doesn't have to equal chronic pain.  Danoff says if you find yourself in pain for more than two weeks, it's time to see your primary care physician.

Danoff added that over the counter medications aren't always as safe as advertised, and your doctor may be able to prescribe a variety of medicine or treatments to ease or eliminate your pain.  Danoff spoke as the American Osteopathic Association launched their "Break Through Your Pain" campaign.
