Girl babies who come into the world very early apparently have a better chance of survival when compared to male preemies.  A new study finds that 19 percent of female babies born in or before the 28th week of pregnancy died in the hospital.  Twenty-three percent of the boys born that early didn't survive.  Australian researchers also found the premature boy babies had a greater chance of serious problems when they survived.  The scientists cited higher rates of blindness, deafness and mental retardation in the premature boy babies who came home from the hospital.  The study is published in the journal "Pediatrics."
