Stamps Will Cost A Little Extra This Spring

Stamps will cost a little extra beginning this spring. The U.S. Postal Service will bump the price of a first-class stamp up to 44 cents on May 11th. Sending a postcard will cost another penny as the USPS increases the price to 27 cents.

The first ounce of a large envelope will rise five cents to 88 cents, and the first ounce of a parcel will also increase by five cents to a $1.22. The Postal Service will continue to sell the so called Forever stamps for 42 cents each until the increase. Those stamps can be used on one ounce letters without additional postage -- forever.
