A soldier accused of killing 16 civilians in Afghanistan will likely know the charges against him this week.  Attorney John Henry Browne says he expects charges to be filed on Thursday against Staff Sergeant Robert Bales.  Bales is being held at Fort Leavenworth, Kansas.  Browne is expected to meet with Bales today and tomorrow. Legal experts say Bales' defense team could explore either a mental incapacity defense, meaning he could not process the fact that his actions were wrong. He could also use a medical defense by claiming that his traumatic brain injury may have affected his behavior.
