Small Ny School District Makes History

A tiny school district in New York’s Southern Tier has made history with both it’s girls and boys soccer teams winning the state tournament over the weekend.  The population of Jasper and Troupsburg combined is just two-thousand, but in this rural, farming community ...they know how to play soccer.  For the first time in the history of either school, or the combined district...both the girls and boys teams won the State Tournament over the weekend.  The J-T girls beat Poland, from northern NY ...for it’s first-ever state crown, while the boys were crowed co-champs by playing Chazy ...also from the north country ....to a 1-1 tie.  This was the second year in a row that both the J-T teams made it to the state tournament.
