(Philadelphia, PA) -- One-time aide to former State Senator Vince Fumo will be sentenced today in federal court.  Ruth Arnao was found guilty of 45 counts including conspiracy, fraud and obstructing justice in the federal corruption trial of her former boss.

In advance of today's sentencing friends sent letters to U.S. District Court Judge Ronald Buckwalter in support of Arnao in the hopes it will get her a lenient prison term.  Prosecutors are seeking a six-year prison term but if Buckwalter's lenient sentencing of Fumo last week is any indication, she could get 30 to 55 months behind bars.

Buckwalter slapped Fumo with 55 months in prison while prosecutors were seeking upwards of 12 to 15 years for his federal corruption conviction.
