Senator Lieberman Says The President Is Pushing Israel Away From A Peace Agreement

Senator Joe Lieberman believes President Obama isn't handling Israel as well as he should. He says some of Obama's statements and actions have helped to encourage Israel's enemies, which makes the Jewish state very nervous. He said "when the President makes the Israelis wonder if we're for them, really what it does is to discourage them from taking the risks that they'll have to take to have a peace agreement with the Palistineans." Liberman said the President is handling the relationship with Israel all wrong. He says "the Israelis have one really good friend in the world. It's us." Senator Lieberman says he does not believe the President is anti-Israel-- but he does need to back off his statements, like calling for a settlement freeze.
