Same Sex Marriage Petition Is Making Its Way To Churches In New York

A suprising story-- same sex marriage is getting the nod from pastors and clergymen in New York state.  Hundreds of clergymen and lay leaders around the state are backing up advocates for a same sex marriage bill.  Over 700 clergymen have a signed a petition offering their support to the legislature passing a bill.  Same sex marriage bills have been passed in the Democrat heavy Assembly in the past, but they continually fall short in the Senate. There are thousands that do not support the bill, but there's no petition in place against the one in support of it.  Gay rights groups hope to have a measure passed before the current Legislative session is over.
