Ru 486 Is More Dangerous Then Getting An Actual Abortion

A group out of Australia says the new abortion pill is not as safe as having an actual surgical abortion. They're talking about the morning after pill-- RU 486. In the first big published study comparing the two methods in Australia, the group looked at 7-thousand abortions, and found that 3.3 percent of women who used the medicine in the first trimester of pregnancy later turned up in hospital emergency departments, compared to just 2.2 percent who had undergone surgery. About 100-thousand abortions are done each year in Australia.
