(New York, NY)  --  Concerns were reportedly voiced early in the iPhone 4 design process about the phone's antenna.  Bloomberg.com cites a person familiar with the matter in reporting Apple's senior antenna expert informed company CEO Steve Jobs that the design of the antenna could result in dropped calls.  The source reportedly said Apple senior engineer Ruben Caballero told top management about the concern and revealed a carrier partner was also worried about the antenna.

"Consumer Reports" has balked at recommending the IPhone 4 because of its reception problems.  Sales of the device shattered sales records, with consumers buying one-point-seven million iPhone 4 models in the first three days.  Apple has schedule da press conference for Friday.
