Up to 60-thousand people have cancelled their memberships in AARP because of the group's position on healthcare reform.  CBS News reports many have switched to the American Seniors Association, a group that positions itself as a conservative alternative to the better-known and far larger group.  The American Seniors Association leaves no doubt it is opposed to President Obama's healthcare reform plans that have suggested 313-billion dollars in cuts to medicare programs over ten years.

While the AARP claims it hasn't endorsed any healthcare plan, President Obama told a town hall meeting in Portsmouth, New Hampshire, last week, "We have the AARP on board."  Under hostile questioning by AARP members at a gathering in Dallas this month, an AARP representative unplugged her microphone and left the room.  A YouTube video of that meeting has been viewed nearly a quarter of a million times.  AARP claims 40-million members.
