Rendell Announces Program That Offers Free Financial Advice

A Pennsylvania program that offers free financial advice to residents was launched today. Governor Rendell formally announced the start of "Get Help Now Pennsylvania" with U.S. Attorney General Eric Holder, who joined Rendell via videoconference from Philadelphia. The program is aimed helping people who are having money problems due to the poor economy. The advice will be dispensed by experts including lawyers and financial advisors. Holder said the Pennsylvania program can be a model for the rest of the country. The program kicks-off July 7th and help will be available Tuesdays and Thursdays in Pennsylvania Counties. People in Allegheny County can get help at the Pennsylvania Bar Institute Conference center in the Heinz 57 Center.
