Protect Life Bill Passes The Us House

The U.S. House passed a controversial bill last night, defending the unborn.  The Protect Life bill would make it illegal for any taxpayer cash to be used to fund abortion. The bill has no chance of being brought before the Democrat-led Senate, though.
Just 2 Republicans voted against it. One said "it could override core patient protections contained in the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act, allowing hospitals to refuse lifesaving treatment on religious and moral grounds."
Despite the fact that it's a dead end bill, some say it was worth it just to hear our senators quote God's word on the House floor. Congresswoman Diana DeGette of Colorado said "you knit me together in my mother's womb. I praise you because I am fearfully and wonderfully made."
Congressman James Lankford of oklahoma said God told him to be a voice for unborn children. He said "I still believe in the value of the instructions given to leaders thousands of years ago in Proverbs 31: speak for those who cannot speak for themselves."
The bill was sponsored by Representative Joe Pitts, a Republican from Pennsylvania.
