The investigation into the death of a racer at the Canandaigua Motorsports Park last Saturday will likely last at least an another two weeks. Ontario County Sheriff Philip Povero says investigators are still interviewing witnesses and reviewing other evidence from the wreck that killed Kevin Ward Jr. At a Saturday sprint car race at the Canandaigua dirt track, racer Tony Stewart struck and killed Ward after Ward left his car and walked into the middle of the track, apparently to confront Stewart. Shortly before the fatal accident, Stewart, a prominent Nascar driver, caused Ward's car to spin out and crash. The track announced Tuesday that it will be open Saturday night in honor of Ward.
