Picasso Art Sale Breaks Record

03.27.13 | Sarah Harnisch

A billionaire hedge fund manager just paid $155 million dollars for a Picasso.  That's 16 million more than he agreed to pay. What's interesting, though, is that new buyer paid more for it even after it's previous owner tore a hole in it with his elbow, the night after the sale. Steven Cohen purchased the painting from Vegas Real Estate Mogul Steve Wynn. It's the highest price ever paid for an artwork by a U.S. Collector . The painting has since been restored to its original state.  To see the image, go here.
