Pentagon Approves Bibles At Walter Reed

Western Iowa Congressman Steve King is pleased he has been able to get the Pentagon to get rid of a policy banning Bibles and other religious items at Walter Reed Army Medical Center.  The Conservative Republican called the military out on the issue, and the change came this week. King said while the bible was specifically mentioned among items that could not be brought in, he would assume other religious texts including the Koran were also banned. He said not allowing injured soldiers to take comfort in their religion while they recovered or died at the facility was wrong.
