Pennsylvania Gears Up For Massive Storm

Pennsylvania Governor Tom Corbett wants residents to be ready for Hurricane Sandy.  Corbett said the storm has potential to be historic in nature.  He said residents have to be prepared in the event there is major flooding and loss of power.  Corbett said be prepared for six to ten inches of rain, so plan accordingly.  The state has suggestions for storm preparation at readypa.org. Meanwhile, the Pennsylvania National Guard has alerted about 16-hundred members they should be ready for deployment in response to Hurricane Sandy.  The 56th Stryker Brigade combat team ended its training mission a day early yesterday at Fort Indiantown so it could return to base at Horsham Air Guard Station.  Governor Corbett has already declared a statewide disaster emergency.
