Pennsylvania Coffee Shop Shipping Free Coffee To Troops

01.10.13 | Sarah Harnisch

Men and women stationed overseas don't always have access to hot coffee. A company in Selinsgrove, Pennsylvania, in Snyder County, is trying to change that. So far, the company, Fresh Roasted Coffee LLC has sent out 500 bags of coffee to troops stationed in Afghanistan. The owner is looking for names of soldiers who may want it oversees as well as donations for project Java for Joe. The company in Eastern Pennsylvania, just a year and a half old.  The Selinsgrove VFW recently got involved in the “java for joe” project. Members collected names of troops overseas, and they also gave money for shipping. "The coffee that troops get in the field is rank. And to get fresh ground coffee from home, it really means a lot to them."
