Penn State Officials Ask For More Time In Preparing Defense

Lawyers for Tim Curley and Gary Schultz asked Dauphin County Judge Todd Hoover on Tuesday to push back the deadline for them to respond to state prosecutors until May 4.

Curley, the school's athletic director on leave, was to file the written answer sometime Tuesday. Schultz, a now-retired university vice president, faces an April 27 deadline. They say the attorney general's office has yet to produce all promised records.

Curley and Schultz are also accused of failing to properly report suspected child sex abuse by Sandusky, who's awaiting a separate trial.

All three have pleaded not guilty and deny the allegations.
