Pa Towns Are Ignoring Megans Law

A law that was designed to protect kids from predators, Megan's Law, is being lifted in some towns in Pennsylvania. It's because the Pennsylvania Supreme Court struck down all residency restrictions for sex offenders. Now, each town has to choose whether or not they will enforce the law. Northhampton Burrow decided not to enforce the law, and Bangor Borough on Tuesday decided not to take the law off their books, but they will not be enforcing it. The high court ruled that the law was so limited that sex offenders couldn't find anywhere to live. will not enforce them.
