Pa Senator Reacts To Military Sex Abuse

Pennsylvania Senator Pat Toomey is sponsoring legislation to make sure members of the armed forces who are guilty of sexual harrassment and assault do not go unpunished. His bill increases aide to victims and applies harsher penalties to their attackers.

Last year, less than 35-hundred of the estimated 26-thousand cases of assault and abuse in the military were ever reported. Toomey's bill provides those who are attacked with a special victims’ counsel and automatically referes assault cases to a court-martial level.
