Pa Pastor Runs For Governor

A minister with no previous political experience is the newest Democratic candidate for Pennsylvania Governor in 2014. Max Myers held a news conference Monday at the state Capitol as part of a three-day tour to publicize his candidacy. Myers is a Democratic Army veteran who served as pastor at several Assembly of God churches in the Midwest and now lives in suburban Harrisburg. Until last year, he worked with an Evangelical group called Global Awakening. As governor, he says he'd work to eradicate poverty and ensure all children receive a world-class education.
