A hospital in the LeHigh Valley of Pennsylvania has set up a camera that lets parents see their intensive care babies from home. BabyCam is a new technology at LeHigh Valley Hospital in Salisbury Township, and it lets parents remotely view live footage of their babies in real time, using a computer or a smartphone. The hospital has installed webcam systems on 40 bassinets in their Neonatal Intensive Care Unit. Using a password-protected system, families can remotely access them 24 hours a day. A premature baby is hospitalized for an average of 4 months, and the hospital said it gives families peace of mind.
