Pa Health Secretary Urges Kids Get Vaccinated

As the school year starts across Pennsylvania, the Department of Health is reminding parents of the importance of ensuring their children are up-to-date on immunizations. Health Secretary Michael Wolf says vaccines are among the most successful and cost-effective public health tools available for parents to protect their children and prevent disease.  Families that object to immunizations on moral or religious grounds are offered waivers.  Wolf says the Commonwealth has seen some diseases that were eradicated come back due to a drop-off in immunization rates.
