One Pennsylvania county is offering free wills to those who put their lives on the line for others. Cumberland county is sponsoring a "Wills for Heroes" event on March 12 in the basement of the county prison near Carlisle. Lawyer volunteers and students from the Penn State Dickinson School of Law will draw up the documents along with living wills and powers of attorney. The county held a first event like this in November, where 51 wills were created. They plan to hold more events - two each year. National statistics show just 20 percent of firefighters, police and other emergency responders have a will.
