Ohio Church Paying People To Come On Easter Sunday

Here's one way to get them in the door.... An Ohio church says it's going to give away 1-thousand dollars-- to two lucky people who attend Easter services. The Lindenwald Baptist Church in Hamilton drew names last year to award 500 dollars to a member of the congregation-- and 500 dollars for a guest. Pastor Randy Moore says the southwestern Ohio church had hoped for 1,000 worshippers when it made the offer for the first time, and they packed in 1,140-- more the double the usual Sunday attendance. He says they needed a crew in the parking lot. The pastor says given the economy, they hope the cash is a financial blessing. But it also helps get people to church.
