Obama Denies Indiana Request To Defund Planned Parenthood

The Obama Administration has denied an Indiana request to defund Planned Parenthood. The President shot down Indiana's use of a new state law that would cut millions in taxpayer cash to the Indiana affiliate of the nation's largest abortion business. The argument was that while the federal government distributes the cash to states, the states themselves get to hand it out-- and in that authority, Indiana wanted to yank cash for taxpayer funded abortions. In a statement Wednesday, the Obama Administration told Indiana it will not be allowed to implement the new law- saying states can't exclude recipients based on services they provide. Planned Parenthood already filed a federal lawsuit in Indiana. Arguments for that start on Monday, June 6th.
