Snowflake Babies

The Obama administration is looking to end the government's only program of preventing the discarding of "extra" frozen embryos.  Also known as, "Snowflake Babies," they are the "extra" embryos a couple involved with in-vitro fertilization inevitably produces.  "The Washington Times" says the Embryo Adoption program is scheduled to be discontinued in the 2013 fiscal year.  According to researchers as many as 50-thousand of the 600-thousand cryogenically preserved embryos in the U.S. could eventually become available for adoption.
