Nys Medical Marijuana Bill Scrapped Again

Senate finance committee chairman John DeFrancisco says he has no plans to move a bill out of committee that would legalize medicinal marijuana. He says there are too many uncertainties with the drug. The conservative group New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms has been a leading voice against the Compassionate Care Act, arguing it had more to do with taxing a controlled substance than healthcare or pain management. Yesterday, the governor said he would've signed a medicinal marijuana bill if it were properly regulated.
