Nys Gop Head Tied To Gas Industry

A gas drilling company tied to NY Republican Party Chairman Ed Cox is  concerned about the future of hydrofracking in the empire state. Some in good-government call into question Cox’s alignment with Noble Energy.  The Houston company has permission to do business in NY, but says it has no interest in doing so. Still, some democrats want the state ethics commission to investigate what they consider a conflict of interest. Cox began a campaign of criticism against Governor Cuomo for not lifting the longstanding moratorium against shale gas drilling.  He collects more than a quarter million dollars a year for his work with Noble.
