There are new rules in the works in New York that could affect who can attend your funeral. State politicians are closing the "burial loophole". Governor Cuomo and legislators have agreed to a package of bills that bars anyone that has killed a spouse from making arrangements for their funeral or burial. The loophole came to light earlier this year after a Buffalo-area man who had killed his wife refused to give her family control of her burial. The deal would also block those whose spouses had restraining orders against them from controlling the partner’s remains. The bill could be approved June 21st.
