Ny State Police Use Facebook To Catch Crooks

02.06.14 | Bob Price

New York State Police are beginning a new social media campaign to catch more people wanted for crimes across the state. They call it “Warrant Wednesday” ....every Wednesday the state police put wanted posters on their Facebook page of people who have arrest or bench warrants out for them. The idea was tested last year and police are pleased with the results it generated. Each poster will include a photo, information about the person wanted, what they're wanted for and a contact number for the appropriate state police station.
