It's that time of year already-- New York is out with its fall folliage report. You can find a color-coded website by region here. Fall brings color change and a return to cold temperatures. The National Weather Service says on average, Buffalo experiences its first freeze October 19th, Rochester October 15th and Watertown, north of Syracuse, September 27th. The earliest ever recorded freeze in upstate New York was September 2nd-- and though we came close to logging a freeze last night, with Tuscarora clocking in at 39 degrees. No city has hit the freezing mark this year-- yet.
