04.23.13 | Sarah Harnisch

Where are the best places in New York to see bald eagles, snapping turtles, and other critters? All you need to do is snag a brand new wildlife guide, put out by the state. The 216 page "New York Wildlife Viewing Guide" was made available for pre-order Monday. It's colorful, descriptive, and was a collaborative effort between the DEC and Audubon and other nature groups. It tells you the best private and public areas to get a peek at wildlife, broken down by animal and more then 110 locations across the state. The book is 10 dollars, and officially gets released May 20th. You can pre-order it here.
