Ny Has A Budget Deal

Governor Cuomo and lawmakers reached a deal on a 135 billion dollar budget late Wednesday night, but they left any changes to the gun law out of it for now. The budget would extend higher taxes on millionaires; provide a 350 dollar rebate check next year to families that own homes; increase the minimum wage to 9 dollars an hour, with the first spike to 8 dollars an hour in 2014. The spending plan has been cleared for a weekend vote by the legislature, and if approved, it would mark the earliest adopted budget in decades.
