Ny Governor Cuomo Uses His Teen Daughters To Talk Texting And Driving

65,081 drivers. That's how many people have been ticketed for talking on a cell phone while driving in New York since January 1st. Governor Andrew Cuomo held a press conference yesterday with the details of the new law operation hang up. He said he he experiences texting and driving first hand. His twin girls, Cara and Mariah just got their learners permits, and they love to text. Cuomo said "if their thumbs aren't moving, they don't know if they're alive." The governor was also asked if he springs into action when he's on the road and sees people breaking the law by talking and driving. He said "no, I haven't made a fuss. I haven't gone up and tapped on the window and said 'I'm the governor, put that down.' The 5 counties with the highest tickets in upstate were Monroe, Steuben, Ontario, Genesee and Livingston counties.
