Ny Could Have A Budget This Week

Lawmakers in Albany are getting close to a deal on the state budget. They have been pulling all-nighters, including one last week, where no one went home till 7 in the morning. Because of the time put in though, not only do they predict that they'll have the budget done-- they may have it done early, before the March 31st deadline. Last week's agreements wiped out several of the most contentious issues: pension reform, expanding the state's DNA databank, and redistricting. Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver even said Monday the idea of raising the state minimum wage was tossed. Majority Leader Dean Skelos says he expects to have a budget by the end of the week.
