That is the end of the challenge to New York's casino gambling referendum on the November 5th ballot. The man behind the only lawsuit is walking away. Eric Snyder, whose lawsuit challenging the ballot proposition was tossed by the State Supreme court, said he will end his appeal effort. Snyder challenged what he called "advocacy language" in the ballot proposition, which asks New York voters to approve up to seven private casinos while touting job growth, increasing aid to schools and lower property taxes - while ignoring expected widespread addiction and crime. Now, the language for the election day ballot will stand.
