Ny Assemblyman Thinks Parents Should Do Random Drug Tests On Their Own Kids

An Assemblyman from Long Island, New York thinks parents should be testing their own kids for drugs. It's an interesting concept, though if it passes, it would only impact New York City right now. Assemblyman Joseph Saladino introduced a bill requiring parents of high school students to drug test their children annually and then sign a statement swearing it was performed.  The proposal does not mandate that parents release the results of the test.  The Republican says the idea is to force parents to become more aware about what's going on in their child's life.
