Northern Tier Man Says Hes In It To Finish It

08.29.11 | Bob Price, Sarah Harnisch

Today, August 29th, is the sixth anniversary of Hurricane Katrina. A Northern Tier man is heading to New Orleans next month to re-build thousands of homes that were destroyed in the storm. Wayne Blow runs Haven Development International in Sayre, Pennsylvania. He says it's been 6 years, but they have been abandoned because of all the other natural disasters in the United States. He says when his team goes into a disaster area, his work force is committed and will stay there until every last home is built. Blow uses the native prison population to help build the homes. He hopes to begin his work in New Orleans at the end of next month.  He says there are over 40-thousand homes that still need to be rebuilt in the "big easy" because of Katrina.
