North Tests Missile After Its Leader Dies

          North Korea is pledging to increase its military capability in response to the death of its leader Kim Jong-il.  There are reports from neighboring South Korea that the North has test-fired a short-range missile off its eastern coast.  The Yonhap news agency says today's test is not believed to be linked to the passing of Kim Jong-il. 
          North Korea's ruling party has dubbed the late communist leader's youngest son as his successor but there are questions about his leadership abilities.
