Noontime Vote For Penn States Next President

02.17.14 | Sarah Harnisch

Penn State is expected to name new president today in a noontime vote. The word is the candidate is a familiar face on campus. Eric Barron is the current president of Florida State president, but he was previously a 20 year faculty member and former dean of the college of earth and mineral sciences. If the vote goes in his favor and he accepts, he'll return to Penn State to be the university's 18th president. It would end the 15-month search for next head of Pennsylvania's largest university. Graham Spanier was placed on paid leave after the Jerry Sandusky scandal.
