No Gay Marriage Allowed Till Prop 8 Is Settled Court Says

There was another victory Wednesday for advocates of traditional marriage in California. The state's Proposition 8 measure, voted in by a majority of voters, bans same sex marriage in California. It's been in the court system for well over a year now, and while there, gay rights advocates were trying to get a stay of a lower court that would allow same sex marriages while the bill works its way through the justice system. But on Wednesday, a federal appeals court turned down the bid from 2 same-sex couples. It means no gay marriages in California, unless the appeal on the law is overturned.
