New Study Shows How 18 To 40 Year Old Christians Think
03.24.11 |
A new survey by Probe Ministries and the Barna group shows less than 40-percent of self-professing Christians between the ages of 18 and 40 have a biblical worldview. Dr. Ray Bowlin is President of Probe Ministries. He spoke with the Family Life news team and said "so many of them are captivated by this notion of tolerance-- we're all free to believe what we want to believe; but culture today assigns that those are all true in one way or another, and you can't challenge somebody else's truth. That's being intolerant." He says among the millenial generation - there's a huge temptation to be far more conformed to the culture than to christ. He says "they are the future of the church. And when we discovered in our survey that only 1 percent witnessed to others, that raised a few alarm bells for the future of the church." The survey is one of the most extensive ever done on born-again Christians in the millenial generation. It found just 17-percent of 18 to 40 year-old's in the church today believe Jesus is the only way to God!!!!
