Troops returning from war with brain injuries and psychological conditions will be able to seek treatment from the newly opened National Intrepid Center of Excellence at the National Naval Medical Center in Bethesda, Maryland. Traumatic Brain Injury and Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder are among the signature wounds seen following tours in Iraq and Afghanistan. Staff at the state-of-the-art center will be housed under one roof to better understand and treat soldier's injuries. The 72-thousand square-foot, 65-million-dollar facility was made possible through private donations by the Intrepid Fallen Heroes Fund.
